Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2014 Buick Enclave

Ryan: Hey everybody, my name's Ryan and here at etrailer, we install, test, fit and review a lot of different parts that way we could try to answer any questions those of you might have. And that's exactly what we're doing here today on our 2014 Buick Enclave. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with removable arms. So there's going to be a total of five main components needed to flat tow your Buick down the road safely.First one's going to be the base plate. Best 2017 Buick Enclave Base Plate Options

Today on our 2017 Buick Enclave, we will be completing a flat tow setup using Roadmaster's EZ crossbar-style baseplate, Roadmaster's Falcon 2 tow bar, Roadmaster's 68" single-hook coiled safety cables, Roadmaster's diode seven-wire to six-wire Flexo-Coil wiring kit, Roadmaster's FuseMaster fuse bypass switch for towed vehicles, Roadmaster's stoplight switch kit for the Buick Enclaves, Roadmaster's BrakeMaster system, this is for RVs with air or air over hydraulic brakes, and Roadmaster's BrakeMaster custom seat adapter for Buick Enclaves. If your RV doesn't have air brakes and has conventional brakes, you might want to look into SMI's Stay-IN-Play DUO, as that's one of the best systems out there for non-air brakes. This is what our Buick Enclave is going to look like when it's all set up and ready to flat tow. The baseplate itself is the interface that allows tow bars and safety cables to connect to, to properly tow your vehicle behind your motor home. With everything disconnected, it'll be relatively hidden behind your bumper. This is what our baseplate's going to look like when it's installed. We've got our fascia off so we can show you the attachment points. more

Roadmaster Base Plate Installation- 2009 Buick Enclave- Video

Roadmaster Base Plate Installation- 2009 Buick Enclave

Today on this 2009 Buick Enclave we will be installing part number 523149-1 from Roadmaster. The first thing we need to do is get underneath the hood of the vehicle and remove some fasteners so we can remove the front fascia. There are 12 fasteners that need to be removed. To remove the rivet there is a dent inside here that you pop the screwdriver in and kind of pick up the middle part. Then you can use your rivet tool and just pull it out. These sunken rivets are a pain, just take your screwdriver and work your way around it. Then remove the engine cover. Now there is a Phillips screw, one on each side that we need to remove. :56 more
